Could a simple pee test tell if chemo is working?

NCT ID NCT01693861

Summary

This study aimed to see if a new, non-invasive urine test could help monitor how well chemotherapy is working for people with advanced colorectal cancer. Researchers collected urine and saliva samples from 16 patients before and after starting chemotherapy. They measured specific waste products in the urine to see if their levels changed in response to treatment, which could one day lead to a simpler way to track cancer therapy.
