Scientists hunt for hidden clues in gut and blood to solve ureteral stricture puzzle

NCT ID NCT07409870

Summary

This study aims to understand the underlying biology of ureteral stricture, a condition that narrows the tube from the kidney to the bladder. Researchers will compare stool, urine, and blood samples from 120 people—some with the condition and some without—to see if differences in gut bacteria and body chemicals are linked to the disease. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day lead to better ways to detect or treat it.
