First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested if a specific upper back manipulation (a quick, controlled push) could reduce pain and improve neck movement in people with chronic neck pain. 42 adults with neck pain for at least 3 months took part. Some received the real manipulation, others a fake (sham) version. Researchers measured pain levels, neck range of motion, and muscle activity right after treatment and for two weeks afterward.
