Summary

This trial tests whether high-intensity interval resistance training (HIIRT) for the upper body can improve muscle strength, functional capacity, thinking skills, and mental health in healthy young adults, compared to lower-intensity resistance training or no exercise. About 49 people aged 18-25 will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: HIIRT, moderate training, or a control group. Participants in the exercise groups will do supervised arm workouts twice a week for 8 weeks. The study measures changes in strength, walking distance, cognitive tests, anxiety, and quality of life to see if the intense training offers extra benefits.
