First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at 44 male cricket fast bowlers aged 18-30 to see which type of arm training works better for building muscle size, strength, and power. One group did exercises that focus on lengthening the muscle under weight (eccentric training), while the other group focused on shortening the muscle (concentric training). Both groups trained three times a week for 8 weeks, and researchers measured changes in arm size, strength, and throwing power.
