Throat ultrasound may predict breathing tube removal success
NCT ID NCT07580742
First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether using an ultrasound to measure the airway in the throat can help predict if a patient on a breathing machine is ready to have the tube removed. Researchers will compare this new method with the usual checks doctors do. The study involves 60 adults who are stable enough to try breathing on their own.
