New hope for arthritis patients: drug may cut painful eye Flare-Ups

Summary
This study tests whether the drug upadacitinib can reduce how often people with axial spondyloarthritis (a type of arthritis affecting the spine) get sudden eye inflammation (anterior uveitis). About 200 adults who have had at least one eye flare in the past year will take the drug daily for 52 weeks. Researchers will track eye flare rates, arthritis symptoms, pain, and quality of life.
