New hope to halt painful eye attacks linked to arthritis

NCT ID NCT07018206

Summary

This study is testing if a daily pill called upadacitinib can reduce the number of painful eye inflammation flare-ups in adults with axial spondyloarthritis (a type of spinal arthritis). It will include about 200 people in North America and Europe who have had at least one eye flare-up in the past year. The main goal is to see if taking the drug for 52 weeks lowers the rate of these eye attacks compared to the year before treatment.
