Cash for care: testing $500 monthly payments to boost health access
NCT ID NCT05778578
Summary
This study tested whether giving $500 per month for six months to older, low-income Black men with chronic illnesses would help them use more healthcare services. Researchers wanted to see if this extra money, especially for men recently released from jail, could help overcome financial barriers to seeing doctors. The study was terminated early and did not complete its planned testing.
