Doctors' past views may skew skin diagnoses

NCT ID NCT04332783

First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at how seeing one skin image after another can change a doctor's judgment. Researchers want to find out if what doctors saw before affects their decisions on the current image, which could lead to mistakes. Over 10,000 people, including doctors and untrained volunteers, will take part in computer-based tasks to measure these effects. The goal is to understand and reduce these errors to improve teledermatology accuracy.
