First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study aims to understand why people with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps often lose their sense of smell. Researchers will compare genetic and functional samples from the nose of 140 participants before and after 3 months of treatment. The goal is to uncover how inflammation affects the cells responsible for smell, which could lead to better treatments in the future.
