NCT ID NCT03218761

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple blood test can measure how well the body clears a chemical called norepinephrine in people with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). POTS causes a rapid heart rate and other symptoms when standing. The researchers will compare blood and urine samples from 200 people with and without POTS to see if the test works. The goal is to find a simpler way to understand and potentially diagnose POTS.
