Scientists probe the mystery of unexplained bone pain

NCT ID NCT04125862

Summary

This study aimed to understand why people with Fibrous Dysplasia, a rare bone disorder, often experience severe pain that doesn't match the visible damage in their bones. Researchers studied 37 adolescents and adults, using brain scans and blood tests to look for clues in the nervous system and body's chemistry. The goal was to learn what causes the pain to help guide future treatments.
