First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how certain nerve fibers in the skin contribute to pain in people with nerve damage (neuropathy) or long-term pain after surgery. Researchers will use a mild electrical stimulation to activate these nerves and measure changes in pain and sensitivity. The goal is to better understand the pain mechanisms, not to provide a treatment. 75 adults with these conditions will participate.
