Summary
This study looked at how well patients and doctors understand each other after an emergency room visit. Over 1,800 adults from 14 hospitals took part. Doctors and patients each filled out a questionnaire separately, and their answers were compared to see if they agreed on key points. The goal was to find where communication breaks down, not to test a new treatment.
