Summary

This study looked at nearly 1,000 transgender veterans to understand what helps or hinders them from getting gender-affirming treatments like hormone therapy and mental health care. Researchers surveyed veterans to find out which treatments they received and where, and how this affects their mental health and suicide risk. The goal is to improve access to care within the VA and community services.
