First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested a new device called Fecobionics in 35 healthy adults to measure how the body pushes out stool. The device mimics natural poop to give detailed pressure and angle readings during defecation. The goal is to learn what normal bowel function looks like, so doctors can better diagnose and treat problems like fecal incontinence in the future.
