First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding umami taste (like MSG) to meals can help people eat fewer calories over two weeks. It also tests if lowering the energy density of food while keeping umami flavor makes meals more satisfying. Thirty healthy Dutch adults will try three different diets to see how their food intake changes.
