Summary
This study tested whether a special ultrasound with contrast dye can be as good as CT scans for checking aortic stents after abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. 40 adults who had a stent placed were scanned with both methods. The goal was to see if ultrasound could detect leaks and measure the aneurysm sac accurately, potentially reducing the need for CT scans and their associated radiation and kidney-damaging contrast dye.
