First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at how a person's body weight might affect the accuracy of ultrasound when diagnosing carpal tunnel syndrome. Researchers will measure the size of the median nerve in 120 adults with confirmed carpal tunnel syndrome and compare it to standard nerve tests. The goal is to see if weight should be considered when reading ultrasound results to avoid misdiagnosis.
