First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether combining ultrasound guidance with spaced retrieval training helps medical residents learn how to insert a catheter into the radial artery (in the wrist) more effectively than traditional teaching. Thirty residents will be randomly assigned to either the new method or standard training. The main goal is to see if the new approach leads to higher success on the first try and fewer complications.
