New training method could help doctors master artery access
NCT ID NCT07248683
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a new teaching method helps medical students learn how to insert a small tube into the wrist artery. The method uses ultrasound to guide the needle and spaced repetition practice. Thirty resident doctors will be split into two groups to compare the new approach with standard training. The goal is to see if the new method leads to more successful first attempts and fewer complications.
