Scar check: simple scan aims to make birth safer for moms with past C-Sections

NCT ID NCT01916044

Summary

This study tested whether using an ultrasound to measure the thickness of a C-section scar could help doctors and patients decide the safest way to give birth. For women who have had a previous C-section, the study compared using this ultrasound measurement to guide delivery decisions against standard care. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce risks for both mother and baby during delivery.
