Ultrasound scans aim to predict arthritis risk after spinal injury
NCT ID NCT07293949
Summary
This study aims to understand if people with spinal cord injuries have thinner ankle cartilage, which might indicate early osteoarthritis. Researchers will use ultrasound to measure cartilage thickness in 76 participants and compare those with spinal injuries to healthy individuals. They will also check if cartilage thickness relates to walking ability, muscle stiffness, and overall function.
