Simple scan could spare women unnecessary chemo after pregnancy complication

NCT ID NCT07333326

Summary

This study aims to see if a non-invasive ultrasound scan can predict which women will develop cancer after having a molar pregnancy. Researchers will measure blood flow in the uterus using Doppler ultrasound in 175 women who have had a molar pregnancy removed. The goal is to identify early signs of cancer development before it shows up on standard blood tests, potentially helping doctors decide who needs chemotherapy and who can avoid it.
