This study looked at whether ultrasound measurements of the throat and tongue can predict when placing a breathing tube or using a mask will be difficult. Researchers studied 400 adults having planned surgery under general anesthesia. The goal was to see if ultrasound works better than standard bedside checks to keep patients safe.
