First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study measured normal lung ultrasound values in 30 healthy volunteers aged 18 to 50. Researchers used a technique called speckle tracking to see how the lung surface moves during breathing, both naturally and with a breathing mask. The goal was to establish a baseline for healthy lungs, which could later help doctors better assess lung injury in critically ill patients.
