New numbing technique tested for safer awake surgery
NCT ID NCT07397234
Summary
This study aims to see if a new ultrasound-guided method for numbing the throat is as good as the current standard method. It will involve 94 adult patients who need to have a breathing tube placed while they are awake, often due to a difficult airway. Researchers will compare how comfortable patients are, how well the numbing works, and the safety of each approach.
