Can simple scans save limbs? new trial tests ultrasound monitoring after artery surgery
NCT ID NCT06702306
Summary
This study is testing whether regular ultrasound scans can help detect new blockages in leg arteries after patients have had keyhole surgery for severe circulation problems. 70 patients who recently had leg artery surgery will be randomly assigned to either standard follow-up appointments or standard appointments plus ultrasound scans at 1, 6, and 12 months. Researchers want to see if the extra scans help doctors catch problems earlier and decide when more surgery might be needed to prevent amputations.
