NCT ID NCT07507695

First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether applying therapeutic ultrasound to the patellar tendon (the tendon below the kneecap) can immediately improve vertical jump performance in healthy young adults. Forty university students will be randomly assigned to receive either real ultrasound or a sham (fake) treatment, and neither they nor the assessors will know which group they are in. Jump height, leg strength, and knee joint position sense will be measured before and right after the 5-minute treatment. The goal is to see if this common physiotherapy tool can provide a short-term performance edge.
