Doctors' pocket ultrasound scanners: do they change their minds?
NCT ID NCT04583670
Summary
This study observed how general practitioners in France use portable ultrasound machines during regular patient visits. Over 600 patients were included as doctors recorded if the scan changed their initial diagnosis, their confidence in that diagnosis, or the treatment plan they had in mind. The goal was to understand the real-world impact of this tool on everyday medical decisions.
