Ultrasound reveals hidden clues in carpal tunnel syndrome
NCT ID NCT07408596
First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at 75 people—some healthy and some with mild or moderate carpal tunnel syndrome—to see if ultrasound measurements of the median nerve can help diagnose the condition. Researchers measured nerve size at the wrist and forearm and compared these to pain, symptom severity, and quality of life. The goal was to find better ways to diagnose and understand carpal tunnel syndrome without relying only on nerve tests.
