First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looked at 88 children who needed a central line (a special IV) placed in a large vein. Doctors compared two ultrasound-guided methods: one using the internal jugular vein and another using a nearby vein called the jugulo-subclavian venous confluence. The goal was to see which approach worked better and caused fewer complications.
