Can a simple scan predict a painful relapse?
NCT ID NCT06894602
Summary
This study aims to find out if specific signs seen on ultrasound scans of the temples and armpits can predict when symptoms of giant cell arteritis will return. Researchers will follow 100 patients with this condition during their regular doctor visits, using standard ultrasound exams they would already receive. The goal is to learn if these scan results can help doctors better monitor the disease and anticipate flare-ups.
