Could a simple ultrasound scan make surgery safer?

NCT ID NCT07243106

Summary

This study is testing if using an ultrasound machine to scan a patient's neck before surgery is better at predicting a difficult breathing tube placement than the standard physical exam. Researchers will compare the two methods in 140 adults having planned surgery. The goal is to see if ultrasound can help anesthesiologists plan safer procedures.
