Quick scan could reveal hidden nerve damage in broken arms
NCT ID NCT07286734
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple ultrasound scan can accurately detect nerve damage in people who have broken their upper arm bone. Researchers will compare ultrasound results from 20 patients with and without hand/wrist weakness to what surgeons actually find during the operation. The goal is to see if this safe, non-invasive scan can help doctors make better treatment decisions earlier.
