Could a quick scan replace X-Rays for Kids' broken elbows?

Summary
This study aims to see if a point-of-care ultrasound scan can accurately and safely screen for elbow fractures in children and youth aged 5 to 15. Researchers will compare the results of the ultrasound to standard X-rays in over 500 participants to check if the scan can reliably detect a broken bone. If successful, this could help reduce radiation exposure and shorten emergency room wait times for families.
