Summary

This small pilot study tested a non-invasive procedure using focused sound waves to target a specific area in the brain. The goal was to see if it could safely reduce severe, medication-resistant pain in people with head and neck cancer. Six patients were treated and followed for six months to check for side effects and measure changes in their pain levels and quality of life.
