Sound waves target brain to calm seizures
NCT ID NCT07353918
Summary
This small, invite-only study is testing whether a non-invasive, focused ultrasound device can help reduce seizures and improve memory in people with epilepsy that doesn't respond well to medication. The ultrasound targets a specific deep brain area without surgery. Researchers will measure changes in seizure frequency and memory using tests and data from participants' already-implanted brain devices.
