First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether ultrasound measurements of the neck can help doctors predict when placing a breathing tube will be difficult. About 500 adults having planned surgery under general anesthesia will have their neck scanned before the procedure. The goal is to see if these scans can improve safety by identifying patients who might have trouble with a breathing tube or mask ventilation.
