Brain ultrasound trial offers new hope for healthcare workers with PTSD

NCT ID NCT07164105

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle, focused ultrasound treatment on a specific brain area can help reduce PTSD symptoms in frontline healthcare workers. Researchers want to see if this treatment changes how the brain responds to stress and improves symptoms like anxiety and sleep problems. Participants will receive either the real ultrasound treatment or a placebo version, then have brain scans and wear a device to track sleep and heart rate.
