First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study uses ultrasound to measure blood inside the abdomen within 24 hours after gynecologic surgery. Researchers will check if the amount of blood relates to problems like anemia, need for transfusion, pain, infection, or longer hospital stay. About 250 women having major gynecologic surgery will take part. The goal is to see if ultrasound can help doctors make better decisions and avoid unnecessary treatments.
