Last-Minute ultrasound could prevent unnecessary C-Sections

NCT ID NCT07433751

Summary

This study aims to see if performing an ultrasound within 24 hours before delivery gives a more accurate estimate of a baby's weight, especially for suspected large babies (macrosomia). Researchers will enroll 285 pregnant people with a suspected large baby to compare the accuracy of this late ultrasound to earlier scans. The goal is to improve decisions about labor induction or cesarean delivery, potentially avoiding unnecessary procedures.
