Summary
This study looked at how running a 100-kilometer ultramarathon affects the health of amateur runners aged 45 and older. Researchers measured changes in blood, heart, lungs, muscles, nerves, and mental state before and after the race. The goal was to understand the overall impact of extreme exercise on the body. 52 runners took part in this completed study.
