NCT ID NCT07451717

Summary

This study aimed to understand how extreme physical activity, like running a 100-kilometer race, affects the health of amateur runners aged 45 and older. Researchers measured a wide range of health markers in 52 participants before and after the race, including heart function, blood chemistry, muscle and joint health, and mental state. The goal was to gather detailed knowledge about the body's response to this type of extreme endurance challenge.
