Can cutting junk food stop diabetes before it starts?
NCT ID NCT07175701
Summary
This study aims to see if reducing ultra-processed foods like fast food and packaged snacks can help control blood sugar spikes and variability in healthy young adults, potentially preventing future diabetes. Forty Korean adults aged 20-30 will wear a continuous glucose monitor for 10 days, receive personalized diet counseling to reduce processed foods, and then be monitored for another 10 days to see if their blood sugar control improves.
