First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study compares a new ultrathin drug-coated stent plus a shorter course of dual blood thinners (1-3 months) followed by a single blood thinner, versus the standard 12-month dual blood thinner regimen, in 828 people with left main coronary artery disease. The goal is to see if the new approach reduces bleeding risk without increasing heart attacks or the need for repeat procedures. Participants must have already received the new stent successfully.
