First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a medicine called sucralfate to the standard acid-reducing drug esomeprazole helps stomach ulcers heal better and prevents bleeding after a procedure to remove early stomach cancer. About 120 adults who need this procedure will be randomly assigned to get either the combination or esomeprazole alone. The main goal is to see how much the ulcer shrinks after 4 weeks.
