Summary

This study tested a wearable medical device called UCon to see if it is safe and helpful for people with fecal incontinence. The device uses gentle electrical stimulation through the skin to calm overactive bowel muscles and reduce symptoms. Thirty adults with the condition used the device at home for four weeks while researchers tracked their symptoms and quality of life.
