First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests whether cells from umbilical cord blood can safely help people with long-term gut damage from radiation therapy. Ten adults aged 18-75 with moderate radiation enteritis will receive the treatment and be monitored for a year. The goal is to see if it reduces symptoms like bleeding and diarrhea and improves gut healing seen on colonoscopy.
